The Bible is the word of God. It’s meant to point us to faith in Jesus and to have a relationship with Him. The Bible must be rightly divided and taught in love. We believe all authority comes from Scripture.

Melbourne Church of Christ is an independent autonomous body of believers in Jesus Christ, under no headship but His.

The gospel of Jesus, the good news of His Kingdom, is the power of God unto salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. God gave His Son to die for our sins because He loves us. Salvation is by grace through faith. And because of sin, by faith in the gospel of Jesus we all must be born again of water and the Spirit. Acts 8:34-38

The church are the saved born-again followers of Jesus. It’s in God’s plan for the church to do life together in worship, ministry, fellowship, discipleship, and evangelism. We worship the one true God through His Son Jesus Christ and strive to serve Him only, for His glory alone. We have gifts and talents that we can all use for building up of body and to grow to maturity in Christ.

We believe Jesus is coming back again one day! If we are in Christ we have passed through judgment and will live with God and one another eternally. We will have new immortal, incorruptible, glorified, powerful, spiritual bodies and live eternally with Jesus.
